Tour Plan
Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu Upon your arrival at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be met by a representative from the trekking company and transferred to your hotel. After checking in and freshening up, you can rest or explore the vibrant streets of Kathmandu on your own.
Day 02: Sightseeing to Swayambhunath, Kathmandu and Patan Today you will begin your cultural sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley, visiting three UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple, is an ancient Buddhist stupa located on a hilltop overlooking Kathmandu; Kathmandu Durbar Square, the historic heart of the city, where you can see ancient temples, shrines, and palaces; and Patan Durbar Square, a beautiful complex of temples and palaces in the city of Patan. You will return to your hotel in the evening.
Day 03: Kathmandu drive to Besi Sahar (820m) After breakfast, you will drive to Besi Sahar, the starting point of your trek. The drive takes around 6-7 hours, passing through small towns, terraced fields, and winding mountain roads. You will spend the night in Besi Sahar.
Day 04: Besi Sahar drive to Chame (2670m) - Not in Monsoon After breakfast, you will drive to Chame, the district headquarters of Manang. Along the way, you will cross the Marshyangdi River, passing through beautiful valleys and forests, and enjoying views of the snow-capped mountains. The drive takes around 5-6 hours, and you will spend the night in Chame.
Day 05: Chame trek to Pisang (3200m) Today, you will begin your trek, heading towards Pisang. The trail follows the Marshyangdi River, passing through dense forests, waterfalls, and small villages. You will also have great views of the Annapurna range, including Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II, and IV. The trek takes around 6-7 hours, and you will spend the night in Pisang.
Day 06: Pisang trek to Manang (3540m) Today's trek takes you to Manang, a beautiful village nestled in a valley surrounded by towering peaks. You will pass through the Upper Pisang area, where you can see traditional Tibetan-style houses and visit the 400-year-old monastery. The trek takes around 6-7 hours, and you will spend the night in Manang.
Day 07: Acclimatization in Manang (3540m) Today is a rest day, allowing you to acclimatize to the altitude and explore Manang. You can take a short hike to Gangapurna Lake or visit the Himalayan Rescue Association's aid post, where you can learn about altitude sickness and its prevention.
Day 08: Manang trek to Yak Kharka (4110m) Today, you will continue your trek towards Yak Kharka, a small settlement located above Manang. The trail climbs gradually through yak pastures and crosses a suspension bridge over the Jarsang Khola. You will have great views of Gangapurna and other peaks along the way. The trek takes around 3-4 hours, and you will spend the night in Yak Kharka.
Day 09: Yak Kharka trek to Thorung Phedi (4420m) Today's trek takes you to Thorung Phedi, a small village at the foot of the Thorung La Pass. The trail climbs steadily through alpine landscapes, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks. You will spend the night in Thorung Phedi, preparing for the next day's challenging crossing of the Thorung La Pass.
Day 10: Thorung Phedi trek to Muktinath (3800m) Over the Thorung La Pass (5416m) Today is the most challenging day of the trek, as you will cross the Thorung La Pass, the highest point of the trek at an elevation of 5,416 meters. You will start early in the morning, climbing steeply towards the pass. The climb is strenuous but rewarding, offering panoramic views of the Annapurna range and the surrounding peaks. Once you reach the top, you will have a sense of accomplishment and take some time to rest and take in the breathtaking views. You will then descend towards Muktinath, a sacred pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists. The trek takes around 8-9 hours, and you will spend the night in Muktinath.
Day 11: Muktinath trek to Jomsom (2713m) Today's trek takes you to Jomsom, a town located on the banks of the Kali Gandaki River. The trail descends through arid landscapes, passing through the villages of Kagbeni and Jharkot. You will also visit the famous Muktinath Temple, a holy site for both Hindus and Buddhists. The trek takes around 5-6 hours, and you will spend the night in Jomsom.
Day 12: Jomsom Flight to Pokhara (850m) and after flight Kathmandu (1350m) Today, you will take a flight from Jomsom to Pokhara, a beautiful lakeside city known for its stunning mountain views and adventure activities. From Pokhara, you will take another flight or drive back to Kathmandu, where you can relax and reminisce about your trek. You will spend the night in Kathmandu.
Day 13: Sightseeing to Boudhanath, Pashupatinath and Bhaktapur Today, you will continue your cultural sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, visiting three more UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Boudhanath, the largest stupa in Nepal and a center of Tibetan Buddhism; Pashupatinath, a sacred Hindu temple complex located on the banks of the Bagmati River; and Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a well-preserved medieval city with traditional Newari architecture. You will return to your hotel in the evening.
Day 14: Depart Kathmandu Today is the last day of your trip. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home, taking with you unforgettable memories of your Annapurna Circuit Trek and the rich cultural heritage of Nepal.
