Itinerary

The trek begins with a scenic drive from Pokhara to Dhampus, a traditional Gurung village perched on the hillside. From Dhampus, the trail gradually ascends through rhododendron and oak forests, passing small streams, stone stairways, and terraced fields. Along the way, trekkers are treated to panoramic views of the Annapurna, Machapuchare (Fishtail), and Dhaulagiri ranges, making for excellent photo opportunities and a refreshing introduction to the Himalayan landscape.

Arriving at Australian Camp in the late afternoon, travelers can settle into the lodge and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. A short evening walk to nearby viewpoints offers an amazing sunset over the Annapurna range, and the evening is free for leisure and dinner at the lodge, allowing trekkers to relax and soak in the peaceful ambiance of this serene hilltop destination.

Wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise from Australian Camp, as the first rays illuminate the peaks of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machapuchare. After a hearty breakfast, begin the descent back to Dhampus village, taking in the lush forests, terraced fields, and occasional glimpses of local wildlife along the trail.

Once in Dhampus, you can explore the village, interact with the local Gurung community, and enjoy the traditional lifestyle of the region. Trekkers can also take optional short hikes to nearby viewpoints for 360-degree views of the Himalayas. After breakfast, trek down from Dhampus to Phedi, the base of the trail, through peaceful forested paths and small rural settlements. The descent offers beautiful views of the valley and the surrounding hills, making the final trekking day scenic and enjoyable.

Upon reaching Phedi, travelers are transferred back to Pokhara by jeep or local transport. On the way, there are opportunities to stop for photos or enjoy the natural landscapes of the Pokhara valley. After breakfast, begin a leisurely trek down to Phedi, stopping at Dhampus or other viewpoints along the way for final photographs and scenic memories. From Phedi, transfer back to Pokhara by jeep or bus, concluding the extended trek. This additional day provides a more relaxed pace, letting travelers fully enjoy the natural beauty and tranquility of the region before returning to the city.

After breakfast, spend the day relaxing in Pokhara or exploring some of its famous attractions, such as Phewa Lake, Davis Falls, World Peace Pagoda, or the Tibetan Refugee Camp. This day allows trekkers to unwind after the trek, shop for souvenirs, or enjoy local cafés and restaurants along the lakeside.

In the afternoon or evening, transfer to the airport or bus station for your onward journey.
