Itinerary
Begin your journey with a scenic drive to Ghandruk, one of the most iconic Gurung villages in the Annapurna region. After exploring traditional stone houses, mountain views, and cultural charm, start trekking toward Tadapani through beautiful forests of rhododendron and oak. Tadapani offers magnificent views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).
Leave the popular trail and enter a serene off-the-beaten-path section as you ascend toward Dobato. This day offers silence, tranquility, and frequent sightings of Himalayan flora and fauna. Upon arrival, hike to Muldai Viewpoint for a panoramic sunset over Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and other Himalayan peaks. Overnight at a teahouse in Dobato.
A truly rewarding day as you traverse narrow ridges and open alpine pastures on your way to Khopra Danda. Upon reaching the ridge, you're treated to an incredible 360° view of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Khopra is one of the best balcony viewpoints in the region—ideal for sunrise and sunset photography.
Descend gradually through alpine meadows, rhododendron forests, and hidden trails to reach Ghorepani, a lively trekking hub nestled among forested hills. You’ll share the trail with local shepherds and other trekkers. Enjoy a warm meal and prepare for an early morning hike to Poon Hill.
Wake up before dawn for a short hike to Poon Hill, the most famous viewpoint in the Annapurna region. Watch the sunrise illuminate Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Machhapuchhre in gold and crimson hues. After breakfast back at the lodge, trek downhill through terraced fields and lush forests to Ulleri, where your private vehicle will be waiting to take you back to Pokhara.
